| Ever felt so distant that you don't even know where to start?
| | |
| Here I am at home on New Year's Eve eating Haagan-Dazs Mango Sorbet. And why you might ask yourself? Well, that is a good question. I was invited to go to out to lots of different things but politely reclined. I had one fellow invite me out twice to hang out with him but I just kept on saying no. Why do I say no to guys all of the time? I think that I have issues with that. This guy is great. He is a Christian, smart, nice and an all around solid guy but I am just not interested. Is that wrong? I feel like I should be. My friends and some members of my family are pressuring me to but I just am not. I want somebody to knock me off my feet. Or not even that but just for me to be actually interested and excited to see them! Somebody that makes you live again. That passion ... that is what I am looking for.
And so I dedicate this post to singleness... an ode! | | |
| Below are spme of the most striking pictures from the tsunami that hit southeast Asia and south Africa.

This picture amazed me because it showes me the power of creation. Just look at that power.

There was a tagline attached to this picture when I first saw it.
It said, "Now comes the grisly task of finding the dead and returning
them to their families." Looking at this picture, makes my heart
cry. There is a new place in my heart for compassion.
And last but not least is photos of the unidentified victims. If
you look closely, you will see that a lot of the pictures are of
children ...
When I attempt to comprehend what has happened, I cannot. I
cannot begin to understand why God would allow such a tragedy to
happen. I do not know. And I have no answers as to
why. But, I do have one answer and that is that God is
supreme.
Pray with me as I pray for those affected by tsunami.

| My thought for the day, "And the greatest of these is love."
We could learn so much if we lived our lives such as that. Out of
love. However, this is hard to practice. Our own
selfishness drives us to avoid love at all costs. Bah to the
fallen state of Man. I look forward to the one day when this will
no longer be so. The one day, when God will be the King over all
mankind's hearts and minds. That will be a glourious day!
Well, I would write more but I am ever so tired!! So, to bed I go.
Goodnight all.

| Well, I have decided to post some more spiritual encouragement after
some encouragement. I wrote this stuff a few months ago but still
think it is relevant. It is just some truths that I believe
in. I wrote it all my stuff although some of my ideas are stolen
from great thinkers.
I went for a walk the other day and all I could do was listen to the
stars. They spoke to me with such imagination. The moon
shone and guided my way. The darkness covered me but it did not
contain me.

One of the greatest miracles ever is the incarnation of Christ.
The doctrine of the incarnation of Christ is essential to the Christian
faith because it affirms that God out of his infinite love became fully
human with all of the human limitations while still being in His divine
power ruled the earth and the heavens in all of His glory. There
is no point to the Christian faith if one does not believe in the
greatest sacrifice that God died for us.
I find the incarnation to be of most importance to our faith. God
is omnipresnet, omnipotent, and omniscient. He is everywhere, all
powerful and all knowing. It is within these attributes that I
believe that God is capable of being both fully human and fully
divine. The problem of the incarnation is too great for a human
mind to conceive of. However, I believe that God has a
reason for this: faith. It is through our faith that God gives to
us that we may believe in the mystery of the cross; through the mystery
of the cross that we are led to be vunerable before the Lord; through
our vunerablitiy that we become weak; through our weakness that we long
to know the God who came down to earth to save us through his one and
only son; and through our longing that we build a personal relationship
with him.

The ressurection of Christ is a light that for the whole gospel
story. It shines backwards (so to speak). It makes the
story of Jesus not a tragedy but a victory. There is pain in
Christ's crucifiction but there is also revival in his resurrection.
The resurrection is God's insurrection. It is the beginning of the counter attack of Christ against the forces of evil.

I long to one day not appreciate His beauty but pass into it. I
long for the day when the Lord will say to me, "Well done my good and
faithful servant".

CHRIST IS SO ACTIVE THAT WE ARE CALLED HIS BODY!
